Be careful out there - bikejacking
Discussion
I took delivery of a new bike today (electric mountain bike). Came in a massive box, and I gave the driver unloading it a hand, but the tape holding down the top flap had been sliced open completely at both ends.
Nothing appears to have been taken, but I'm now wondering if people at the depot might have had a look, and some dodgy git there maybe be making a note of the address...

Shop/seller open, inspect then reseal. Nothing appears to have been taken, but I'm now wondering if people at the depot might have had a look, and some dodgy git there maybe be making a note of the address...

Was it DHL delivery ? I had same last week - bike shipped from Spain (IBKbikes). Built/put together out there, then dismantled and repackaged - but the IBKbike tape had been cut at either end of the box.Nothing appears to have been taken, but I'm now wondering if people at the depot might have had a look, and some dodgy git there maybe be making a note of the address...
Having read the Ops/others stories - Apple tag(s) being secreted in around the frame. My biggest concern was it being stoke. While locked up in public - so bought one of the Litelok X1 locks - whick take > 8 mins to angle grind with mains power - longer with those portable ones.

You lock your bike up outside? And leave it unseen? Having read the Ops/others stories - Apple tag(s) being secreted in around the frame. My biggest concern was it being stoke. Not a chance. Ever. Even if their grinder can't cut it they can cut through the frame. Strip and sell parts.
Even on my motorbike it's two locks and a max of 5 mins.
