And this amazing bike for my son who is gonna be a star in the future!! For a kids bike the Scott Scale24 is better than most adult bikes!

That's a pretty incongruous set-up! And I can't say that there aren't times when I'd like a bail-out ring to winch myself up a hill at a cadence of about 20...

Upgraded from a 70's Peugeot so the change is massive. Great to have brakes and gears on the handlebars.
Only gripe - after 5 miles the saddle felt like I was sat on the top of a scaffold tube! Very painful! Hopefully I'll get used to it!!!!

A small Canyon review would be nice.
It's been mixed to say the least:I'll start right at the beginning, I bought the bike completely unridden, unseen and without trying a similar bike for size so I'm very impressed with that side. However, it did have a small chip near the rear dropout when it arrived in the box (can't possibly have been caused from the journey over from Germany so must have been there before being packed away) so I wasn't very happy with that. I then got offered a measly compensation amount or a Compact in replacement (all they had in Stealth and I didn't want their other colour scheme). I ended up keeping the bike in the end because I couldn't be bothered to wait the few weeks for an exchange and end up with a Compact (mine is a Double) and I just wanted to get out and ride it (it was sat in the box unbuilt while all the correspondence was happening). I'm not entirely sure why they didn't and couldn't offer to swap Compact to Double for me though. Email correspondence was very quick though on the plus side and they weren't rude about it, just not overly accommodating which I would expect when spending £2.5k+ on a bike.
I've only ridden it once (70 miles) so far and I love it. It's very light (somewhere between 7 and 8 kg using the bathroom scales, quoted weight of 7.6kg), the front end did feel a bit vague when I first got on it but I think that was more down to the lack of weight, my old bike being aluminium with carbon fork and therefore quite a bit heavier, I started to get used to it at the end of the ride though. The acceleration is awesome, again, lack of weight and I'd assume the aero frame would be helping too although I don't really have a comparison for that. The wheels aren't great, I was getting a bit of brake rub when climbing out the saddle but they'll do as winter wheels and I'll hopefully get some Cosmic Carbones or Zipps at some point as nice wheels. There is an odd metallic noise coming from the rear when out the saddle, not entirely sure what this is so will investigate this before/on my next ride. Di2 is awesome, I found myself changing gear for the hell of it , the only disconcerting thing is clicking down numerous gears because it's so smooth you can't actually tell whether it's working or not.
So to summarise, customer service leaves a bit to be desired, but the bike is awesome
Feel free to ask any other questions about specific items.

Sounds like maybe the rear skewer wasn't fully tightened. ^^ Because judging from the pictures it has a set back post with the saddle rammed as far forward as it'll go. Can't tell from the pictures, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't outside the recommended clamping area of the saddle rails and even if it's just in, I'd be happier with it more centred, if only from an aesthetic point of view regardless of safety concerns.

I think the picture angle probably doesn't help but I can assure you it's nowhere near the limit, it's not your standard post/clamp. See here for a bit more info on the seatpost, but it has quite a lot of adjustment. Besides, I can't actually get an inline seatpost for it, the seatpost is far from round Today was such a beautiful day and this week is getting better, I thought it would be rude not to do a few kays and scoff some meze!
Behold my scabby steed, the new Ksyriums and Ultremos are a great combo, the bike felt like a whippet. I spotted some old giffer on the same frame and we had a laugh. Might be slinging this frame for a Felt FL5 frameset I've got my eye on.
