This is a very special bike to me, I bought it a year after having a heart attack and six months after double bypass surgery so it really makes feel good every time I ride it!

Thanks for all the nice comments, much appreciated!
It's a Cinelli Bootleg Mystic, it has a flip flop rear wheel with fixed sprocket one side and freewheel on t'other. I am being cautious at the moment and using the freewheel, my first real bike as a teenager was a fixie and I recall having bruised shins and calfs pretty much all the time!

I like that, it looks nice and discreet but still functional. My opinion of electric bikes has changed since the start of the summer. Now I see people out on e-bikes who, were it not for electrical assistance, would be in the car or not out at all. They also allow people to commute and not get as hot and sweaty, all good things IMHO. I still dont get electric mtbs though but electric flat bar hybrids have to be the future for millions
I won this yesterday on EBay, intended to get me biking much more regularly. I'll pick it up next Saturday.[

It was listed as. Specialized Roubaix Elite SL4. I'm a tall guy and the owner claimed the same height so I'm hoping it'll be spot on. Is it sensible to buy unseen and untried?

Thought I would share my shiny new purchase - I picked it up yesterday, but not yet had time to ride it!
My first road bike in a long time, I have a specialized stumpjumper full suspension for off road duties.
It's shiny and new and I like it! It's a Giant Defy Advanced 3, my first carbon fibre anything...

Funny to see where forums cross over, I spotted this one on bikeradar as well Anyway, Here's my new bike. A Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650b 2016. Came from a heavily upgraded Voodoo Hoodoo.

Surprisingly, after the motor cuts out at 15mph I do find myself pushing on under my own steam which does give you a fair amount of exerciserolex said:

Does it cut out completely or still assist? i.e. 15mph is electric only top speed?
UK law dictates the motor must stop assisting at 15.5mph. Any faster and the bicycle will be classed as a light Moped which will require tax insurance an helmet and type approval. If you do have a need for speed and there's some private land available you can fit this box of tricks on to the bike's speed sensor but it must be removed on public roads;)https://www.badassebikes.com/en/badass/home-typ3-3...
