As they say, start with a bike with a good frame, you can upgrade the components later

Yup, in time it might morph into Super Record...

SR is obviously the ultimate and what a lot of people dream about on their perfect bike, but Chorus is functionally the same, it just gives a bit away on weight (~200g I think). SR does have a bit of bling factor but Chorus also has an understated attraction about it as well.

Get Chorus and put the saving towards some Bora 50s biggrin

Girlfriend fancied a road bike, so £420 and a 40 minute round trip and I collected this:

Bargain I reckon.

Cheers. I'm not convinced by the use of a pulley to make top tube cabling work with a bottom-pull front mech, and I should probably find a seatpost with some setback, but that aside it's built-up very easily.

Awesome.

Crap picture thanks to the crap image posting rules...

My dream bike though, absolutely killer thing. Sadly couldn't afford the aero model, but still far more than I'll ever need and totally removed any wishes of N+1...

Love the colour on that. Good deal had there. What size is the frame?

Thanks, yeh it looks great in the sun with the bare carbon too. It's a large, but it's about 55cm so definitely more of an Italian large!
