Stunning bikes, my mates got one, at least i think its 'the calling'.. The linkage is something out of this world !
Yep. Three guys I ride with have had Evil bikes in the last 12-18 months and have said they are the best bikes they have ridden and all three are ex racers. However all three bikes have spent a lot of time back at the shop or even back to Spain due to issues with the frame/linkage and subsequently all three are now riding bikes from other manufacturers after shocking service from Evil forced them to sell.

It's an extreme solution to the problem, but it appears to have worked. I can't see a set of cracked Colnago forks anywhere in that picture...

Genesis Datum 30? Was looking at one but can't decide on a new bike. There's too much choice.

He put 70 miles in yesterday on a wild day in the Yorkshire Dales. Strong side winds made it an interesting ride with those fancy wheels!

That Ridley looks fabulous!! All it needs are a set of CX tyres and you're good to go. There is just something about a proper CX bike.

New wheels today.

Otherwise known as, how to turn two serviceable cars into bike accessories.

'Scuse the mudguards but it's that time of year.

Pro 4 hubs
Sapim spokes (32 to try and save me busting any more rims or spokes)
Halo Devaura (disk) rims.
28c tubeless tyres for comfort.

As a big chap currently going through the Trek Frame Warranty Process...

What do you have there? How do you rate it?
Sorry I missed this.

The bike is a Domane 4.0 Disc.

I was hesitant to go for a carbon frame being quite hefty myself but it is sooooo comfortable.

The frame is designed to be flexible which is a little disconcerting at first but it does soften the shocks and has some sort of damper between the cross bar and seat tube. (Iso-somethingorother)

It has hybrid cable operated hydraulic disc brakes which aren't quite as good as full hydraulic brakes but so much better than cable op' ones. I'm happy with the stopping power of them. and because they're cables at the shifter end, it'll save a bit of expense and hassle should I decide to change my gearing for 11 speed for instance. (That's the theory at least.)

Bottom line is I rate it very highly indeed. With the exception of the stock wheelset, it's all the bike I think I'll ever want or need.
