And how is does it ride?
I love it. A major jump up from my Focus Cayo and so much better than my ability deserves. Only thing I'd like to add now is a Quarq DZero Sram Red power meter. I've just bought a smart trainer and training with power and would love to ride with power out on the road too.
An unfortunate temp injury to a fellow rider means I have now got a new bike (as he will be riding an electric till recovered). T'was only purchased by its owner a month and bit ago.

Just treated myself to my first carbon bike.
Frame is a 2009 cervelo R3 I found on ebay. I'm hoping to build it up over the next couple of months and get some rides in before the autumn. It's my first 'proper' bike, having had an old Trek SL1000 that was used for road riding but has now been converted into my triathlon bike.
I've chosen a fabric line saddle, cosine 32mm alloy rims with conti GP 4-seasons, 3T stem and 3T ergonova bars with fizik tape. Hoping to build it up on Ultegra 6800 if I can stretch to it! I'll use my 60mm Carbon Speed Cycle (Chinese) rims from my Trek if I need to in the summer.

Freshly built Bowman PalaceR - Carbon wheels to come in due course!
Like that Fancy one of these as a winter bike but the colour schemes are a bit odd for my liking - hoping they'll do a one-off black/orange scheme soon and then I'll get one Freshly built Bowman PalaceR - Carbon wheels to come in due course!

Is this the bike equivalent of cross dressing, lovely slender tubes, and deep section aero rims?Posted in the wrong threads originally! Just bought this, done circa 30km on it simce Sunday and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm so glad I went for the plus size 2.8 tyres, it's really not that much work on the road but there's just so much grip it's very confidence inspiring especially for someone who hasn't ridden much in the last 10 years!!
Dropper post is fantastic.
The 1x11 drivetrain is a revelation considering my last MTB had 27 gears I think! I've not felt like I need any more with the 11 speed, it looks so clutter free and obviously saving a fair bit of weight.
I had the new DMR V8 pedals fitted (I used to have V12's many years ago) so the V8's feel familiar.
Brakes are shimano even though they're advertised as SRAM, my OCD isn't working with that as the gearing is all SRAM.
Just waiting for some new lock on grips as the ones I bought were red but the bike is much more orange in the flesh.

It looks great. Although coming from an Emonda SL 6 owner, there's probably a bit of bias in there. But it does need some lovely white bar tape, though...
Not a big fan of white bar tape ! , it came with red which is just wrong . I think I will change stem to black and saddle eventually also . Great bike , thanks for the advice to go for an emonda , I was all set for a really rubbish canyon 😳 .

Not exactly new, the frameset is 29 years old, but a fun little all-road gravel grinder from the parts bin. Maybe about €120 into this as it stands.
