What about looking for a cruiser? They are BMXs with a 24" wheel.

Yeap, I used to ride this.....

Before going back to 20" and then falling off and breaking my leg and not being able to ride anything for a while

hey,

i forgot brooklyn machine works, stunning frames, i very nearly bought one once, burly as hell, well made, nearly bought the one on the trade stand, Distributed in this country by a guy called Ged the Head, who is a diamond and all round top chap, met the guys from Brooklyn NYC Frame shop as well , cool guys.

They are usually at the attendance at the bike show in the NEC and i saw them at the last one in stonliegh a couple of years ago,

it just so happens the bikeshow is back at the NEC with new organisors, this coming Sat and Sun, worth a trip if Brooklyn Machine Works is there, i bet curtis will be as they have at every show i have been to, worth braving the crowds.

still have not decided if i am going to go though.

NEC sounds tempting.

Any idea on who's exhibiting? Couldn't find a scap of info from NEC.

It depends on whether the trains are working into london or not from chelmsford for me. Unbelievable as it is, the capital city is usually off limits to many from essex at the weekends. The joys of privitisation. I refuse to sit on a bus or sit in traffic too.

heres a link of exhibitors,

www.nationalbikeshow.com/exlist.html

which also links to main site,

curtis is there and so is Ged the Head, which means Brooklyn Machine Works as he is their UK Distributor,

Good luck with the trains, would it not be cheaper and easier to hire a car or go by car,

public transport in this country is so sketchy.

I could go by car I guess but I'm not really a fan of driving in London. Maybe, we'll see...

it is a 24" Drift, colour not quite sure from memory, grey i think , but if you are intested i can find out real quick, i can just give him a phone, the frames he had or has were powder blue, i think they are part of a someones custom build. He has a lot of intresting kit in a ever changing stock.
