Boys 20" Hardtails

Looking for a nice light 20" WHEELED 3rd bike for the sprogg.

Any recommendations out there.

Giant do a really cool,kids XTC in 20 and 24 inch flavours. Far lighter than anything from Apollo etc. Very racy looking too. Pay for it though.

Funny enough, I was looking at those. Can get one discounted from £250 to £210.

Merida Dakar 620 look nice.

We have a Trek from around four years ago and a Ridgeback from last year - both work well and wheels have stayed true etc. I think that provided you stick to the major names, plus real specialists like Islabikes, you can't go far wrong.

I was looking at Trek and Scott's offerings for my 6 year old son but the chap in cycle heaven in York recommended a Ridgeback I think it was £195. Only had it a couple of weeks so can't comment on quality too much. But it was lighter than the Scott which was £70 more, components more or less the same. He reckoned he has been selling them for several years and had no warranty issues on either of the Scott or Ridgeback.
