Hi all
My much loved Sata Cruz BlurLT was recently stolen, and was not fully insured frown

So with ~£500 insurance contribution, plus a 20% discount on anything above the £500 I spend on a new bike from Wheelies, I've narrowed down my choice to one of these two:-

http://www.wheelies.co.uk/p29234/Lapierre-Zesty-21...
http://www.wheelies.co.uk/p29013/Cannondale-RZ-One...

Or with a larger contribution (are they worth the extra?) I could get one of these two:-

http://www.wheelies.co.uk/p29019/Cannondale-RZ-One...
http://www.wheelies.co.uk/p29235/Lapierre-Zesty-31...

I'm no expert on all the componants/specs, so am looking for advice on whether any of these stand out as the "best buy" ?

I mostly ride around Leith Hill / North Downs & Swinley Forrest...

Cheers
Vic

If the 314 is half as good as the 2010 514, then Lapierre, no question. It's sublime.

I recently sold my cannondale (Jekyll with lefty fork) and replaced it with a zesty 514 and im over the moon with the lapierre. I cant afford to have several bikes so i wanted a bike that does everything well and the 514 certainly does. Its slightly harder work than the jekyll up hill but more than makes up on the downhills and general riding with the added bonus of looking awesomesmile

Got it from Biketreks in Ambleside who i cant recommend enough

I would advise testing both bikes if you can to make your mind up

I see you've already decided, but I'd get the Lap too. I've got a stonk on for the whole range!!

I'm getting a Spicy 516 as soon as I cam get myself gainfull employment again.

The frames look amazing, the reviews are stunning and I like the way you can go cheap if you want, the lower ones are, maybe, trying not to sound rude, but underspecced but all usable stuff that you can upgrade over time. Which is handy coz the frames are expensive to say the least! I thought the price of the DH frame was for a full build!
