Just got my local bike guy to come to my house, collect the bike, repair a wheel (broken spoke), inspect the bike, indetify any work needing done (none) and give the gears a tune up, road test it and finally return it to my house.

He hit me with the bill........................................£20.

It never ceases to amaze me how little my LBS charges me! Had them fit some forks, disk brakes, supply new pads and give the gears a quick once over about 2 years ago and the bill was about £50, the pads alone should have been £20!

On the other hand, the owner of my LBS is a cock. He sells a load of oldeste and unless you have bought a bike from him he rubbishes it. Gives LBSs a bad name.

I go elsewhere now.

Luckily I get free servicing for 2 years on mine - part of the service offered by my LBS for buying a new bike.
