Good trails/jumps etc in and around Edinburgh
Discussion
Wondering if you can help. I've been taking the bike down to Arthurs Seat\Blackford Quarry for a while which is all well and good. But, does anyone know of any other good trails in and around the Edinburgh area? Don't mind a bit of a cycle to get there of course, but car is possible. Glentress\Inners etc are great, but it's still a bit crap weather wise and it would be nice to have something that didn't demands a road trip.
Does anyone know if there are any trails/berms carved out, or jumps that have been built that are cycleble from the top o Leith walk?

I used to live over near Tynecastle, there is a really good XC loop 2-3 hour you can do starting by Cargo and then along the canal that takes you out past Balerno and onto the Pentlands. Couple of big climbs (including puke hill), some tech single track where the local boys have built in some features and then some really good natural riding out at the Pentlands themselves. Was my Sunday morning training ride - by the time you get back everyone else is just getting up and you feel pretty good wheeling back in covered in mud through the city centre!
From Cargo back to Cargo the whole ride has only about 200m on tarmac which is pretty cool.
If you speak to the boys at the edinburgh bike co-op they'll tell you about a whole heap of stuff in and around the 'burg
