I know some of the ph'ers have them, so can you give me some idea of how good/bad they are. They look awesome but how do they handle etc..

I am looking at the acid and attention. the only thing that puts me off is the the front forks on both, which when searching on-line seems to be only fault.

Also seems like the price has jumped up a lot in the last 2 years..

But they do look good...

I too was aware the forks are not the best, at these prices it seems nearly every bike is compromised one way or another though. If it's not the forks, then the drivetrain and/or brakes will be a lesser spec.

In terms of the Attitude v the Acid, I thought the £80 extra for Deore XT and Rockshox with remote lock out was worth upgrading to the Acid.

The reason I went Cube over other brands was more to do with the shop and customer service than anything else.

Forgot to add: The black and green Attitude looks stunning too, shame I couldn't get the Acid in those colours.

yes I like the attention. My budget was 500 pounds but cube seems to get good reviews.

I have looked for local dealers but can't find any so looking on-line.

When you bought yours what size did you go for as some reviews say getting a size below..I am about 5 9

I can only speak for the SL Cross Race.

Very light, good spec, better than everything else I looked at in the same price range.

I'm just over 6' and have ordered 18" frame. I tried a 20" too but there wasn't a lot of clearance between the frame and my vitals.

If you are ordering one online, have a look at Surosa Cycles. I'm buying from the shop but they do on-line too. Customer service has been A1 so far and I believe the proprieter was a world class road racing pro back in the day.

I have an'08 Stereo. Very happy with it, and no problems despite 1m+ drops and cack-handed landings.

My 9yr old kid has a Cube 260, which is a 14" frame. He dishes out extraordinary levels of abuse to it, and (the frame at least) is still in one piece. I've ridden it myself, and the frame geom feels really nice, even at my size.

The only problems with Cube, are that they seem to be sized more for germans. I'm 6ft 2ins and ride a 20". In proportion, my legs are short and my body is long, so I have zero stand-over for my ample cock, but despite that, I needed a slightly longer stem. I feel that the riding position is now pretty much perfect for me. So you may need to go for a smaller frame, with a different stem to optimise the riding position.
The second problem, is that there can be a waiting list for bikes which aren't physically available at your dealer.

In short, I would recommend Cube bikes.

I've got a 2010 Ltd Team Comp, very racey set up with good spec. Forks could be better, but they do the job.

I had a look on the German sites, and Cube seems highly respected. Went to a cycle shop on Sat and have decided on the attention to start with and upgrade once got into he thing of things..

Spent a lot of time comparing, but the German sites saying how robust the frames are that did it for me..

Did think about the acid, but at the end of the day, I can always upgrade latter if I need to..

I bought a Cube Peloton (road) a couple of years ago on the Cyclescheme and it's a fantastic piece of kit. Vastly better kit level than the equivalent priced Specialized and a very quick bike.

As a result I've splashed out on a 2010 AMS comp (Full sus off roader) which is, again, a fantastic piece of kit which absorbs a great deal of punishment.

Therefore, it's a thumbs up from me!

My attention has just arrived, and first impressions very good. I am going from a specialized hybrid road bike to this and it feels good and hard, and me being 15ish stone better suited for me.

I had a GT previously and this is a lot lighted and solid built.

Really looking forward to the Chase of Saturday to put it through it paces and will report back..
