My hope BB is making the trademark clunk noise, so im guessing the bearings are on their way out.

im tempted by the chris king BB has anyone used one? and whats it like on servicing? i mainly ride at swinley so nice and sandy so it gets quite a hard life.

If not the CK which one should i go for?

Don't get a DA BB if you have Shimano. Had to have mine replaced after 1500 miles. Bike shop (Condor) said that it is relatively common for them to go.

Can't you just get some new bearings for your Hope BB?

Yeah I saw that after I'd posted. The user reviews claim they last pretty well though.

Half asleep when I typed this...
The carbontec stuff has a 10 year guarentee. It will out live 90% of frames and if it doesnt, they replace it. How can you loose? Cheaper than kings too!

I've had it about 6 months and its still fine. I have the CK grease tool but haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

I ride through a hell of a lot of mud and grit.
