When out in the sun this weekend a lot of sweat was generated... are these buffs worth having? They cost about a tenner or so, but I see there are generic buffs on ebay for a couple of quid?

Are you paying for the name when buying a buff, or are they worth the extra?

I got a load free from bikeradar live. I wear mine when it's cold. They are not worth £10, its square of polyester material sewed up one side.

Yes! Buffs are great. I have bee wearing a merino wool buff all winter and it has kept my head at the right temp all the time. I have a summer buff too, it keeps sun off, and sweat away. When not on my head it is round my wrist. I have also seen a buff make a superb temp bandage for a nasty chinring in leg moment. It is not a sewn up square, they are seamless and very comfy.

As Gooby says, they are nice in the winter. Not sure if I'd buy more than one, as they wash and dry very quickly, and £10 is quite a lot.

I got given one by my secret santa the other year, and great to cover up the neck and ears in winter without over heating.

There is no sewing up the side on genuine Buffs - the no sewing thing is their "thing".

I use two - one for my neck and face when it's cold, and one for my head/ears all year round. I think they are great.
