In a renewed bid to shake off a few pounds I've started cycling. I can go for quite a while but the thing that is holding me back is chafing. Whilst peddleing my thighs rub together and get really hot. The skin is getting chafed and dry. I've tried talcum powder which is fine for a while but I find it leaves a big white patch of residue on the outside of my crotch, which looks unsightly. Would lycra stop it, or would I be likely to get a lot of static?

Better the lycra rubbing together than the skin I would have thought...

Lycra is always the answer.

Agreed, I used to ride with baggy shorts on the trails and suffered from chafing, still wear the baggies but with lycra shorts underneath and life is good!

That's what I'm going for, under my sports-suit. Thanks.

Lycra will help, but a good dose of this before and after also does wonders.

Ah yes! I'd forgotten about that. I recall using that many moons ago during my marathon running days yes

ETA: actually the one I was thinking of was called 'Chaf Kiss' must be the same thing rebranded.
