The Fuzz are on the look out for naughty cyclists. Be aware.

Yep, carrots and sticks. The carrots are showing people cycle maintenance whilst the sticks are lurking in the park.

Got pulled for briefly hopping onto an empty path in the park itself (as did the following cyclist, and the hundred after that I should imagine). Rather like shooting fish in a barrel but if that's what Plod have been ordered to do by the revenue collectors law enforcers then so be it.

Not advocating jumping red lights or, indeed, any form of rule breaking; just a friendly heads-up to anyone else coming that way. Would hate for Plod to be bogged down with any further unnecessary paperwork on such a lovely sunny day.

Send them down to Old street and Clerkenwell. There are lots of muppets to make money from over here wink

I think it's a City wide crackdown. I work near St Pauls and yesterday there were are a pair of plods on St Martins Le Grand (which is 1 way with 2/3 lanes) fining every courier who was pedalling the wrong way on the pavement.

As a pedestrian and a cyclist, I say good job.

Sounds like a great idea. Maybe they could spread the net a bit wider than Central London.

they were saying on the tv last night that they were giving out fines for not wearing helmets. since when has that been compulsory and finable? or are the media as clued up and well researched as normal? smile
