buyin cycling clothing....
Discussion
you know when SWMBO comes home from the shops in a mood and when asked if anything is wrong, repllies "nothing" then proceeds to throw out everything in the cupboards with a fat content greater than 0.1g before attacking the poor sod who designed the clothing that she tried on and which didnt fit in the vein of "whichever male clothes designer who thinks that every woman in britain is the same size as victoria beckham" well....
i can sympathise. i spent ages trying on bib shorts today in the vein hope of getting a pair that fit only to find that i am a size xl and that the designers of these garments must think that every cyclist is the build of a italian who last saw a hearty meal in 1988.... xl i ask you, ok, i'm 5'11" and weigh about 80kgs but an xl? no other piece of clothing in my wardrobe is an xl, a good deal of it is bloody medium.... xl?!...
so, what do i do?, emptying the cupboards is a no-no, increasing the mileage and the tempo is a possibilty, but right now, i'm cracking open another stella and saying a big **** you to the adidas design team

Pablo, I use a well known internet auction site and until recently, I was opposed to buying anything from sellers in China.
Anywho, Im 6' 4 1'2 and 95 kilos, so a bit of a roleur, rather than a climber.
I looked on all the usual websites, including Prendas, who do great deals and offer a great service, then checked the other site I mention.
I advance searched and looked worldwide. Compared to the £130 for a pair of saxo bank bib shorts and full zip jersey, I paid £27 delivered for the same items. I had to wait 3 weeks, but they were worth the wait, full quality kit and I can't complain. In fact, I'm looking at a winter saxo bank jersey (£155 on the saxo bank site) for £19.15, why am I even hesitating?
My advice, take the plunge and you will be laughing with the chinese / hong kong / taiwan kit..

I'd also spotted these and agree they are a bit of a no-brainer, but was put off by the random sizing charts. I am generally always a Med (5'10 71kg) but the listing said I'd need an XL top based on my weight(!) and I didn't want the hassle of sending it back if it didn't fit. Are the sizing charts reliable? Pretty good Cerbiton. The sellers also allow you to mix and match shorts and jersey sizes. I think I'm pretty much about as big as they cater for, (I also play second row at rugby), and the jersey at xxl still has room in it. Bib shorts are a snug fit and even feature compression for improved performance.
No one complains taht I'm xxl when they are sat behind me into a headwind... until I get bored and do the cancellara thing...
Sorry for the semi thread hijack, but I thought this is still useful if you decide to go this way and buy from them.
