I'm going to be visiting London on business in a couple of weeks time.

What shops are there fairly centrally (I'm in various areas between Canary Wharf and Hyde Park).

Things I'm looking for:-

Road shoes apart from Shimano or Specialized!
Reasonable choice of quality road tyres.

Many thanks.

Condor Cycles, Grays Inn Road.
Mosquito Bikes, Islington.
A few branches of Evans around Waterloo as well I think.

Also http://www.onyourbike.com/ near London Bridge

The Evans stores in Canary Wharf and London Bridge are ok but they are staffed mostly by people who don't speak English as their first language so getting advice from them is a chore.

http://www.mosquito-bikes.co.uk/ is good as neilski says

If road stuff, the evans store on the cut (near waterloo) would be a good choice!

As mentioned - but just to clarify - there are 2 evans shops right near waterloo. the one nearest the station entrance deals mostly with MTB stuff - and the one round the corner on waterloo cut deals with road stuff.

There is an evans at canary wharf which is OK.

Condor is very good - chancery lane is the nearest tube to there, cycle surgery / runners need at Holborn is good too and only 5 minutes walk from Condor.

I find on your bike a bit "elitist", but a pretty good shop overall.
There's an evans about 100yds away as well, but is fairly small.
There also an evans road bike store nr southwark station which is pretty big.
I've also used cycle surgery near spittlefields market which I also found to be good, although this was before they were bought out by snow & rock - I don't know if they're still the same.
IIRC there is also an evans near spittlefields, but last time I was in that branch I wasn't particularly impressed by either the stock or the staff - but again, been a while since I've been there.

There are two Cyclesurgerys near Spitalfields, the one in the new development near Liverpool Street station which is mainly road/commuter focussed, and the one in the back streets that is more MTB focussed (and has the running shop attached). The MTB one is pretty good, good enough for me to cash in my Ride to Work voucher with anyway. The staff seemed to know their stuff.

Stay well away from heales of highams park, its co-run by Dennis. He's a complete and utter moody git. Furthermore the shop is overpriced and Dennis makes you feel like your a ftw (F'ing time waster). You might want to try the bike shed in woodford. Speak to Jim.
