I like those soft water bottles that you can squeeze but I've only seen them with a traditional pull-neck. I'd like one with some sort of cover over the neck to stop all the grime from the road collecting around the neck.

I'd also like one as large as poss. Can you get 800ml or better, 1-litre ones? I can really drink a lot when I'm out for a whole morning.

I have Googled but not found anything satisfactory.

One of the few things Halfords come in handy for, i've had a few of these and they're awesome http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/...

I say a few, as when I use them while playing football I forget about the cap, take a drink and throw them back across the pitch, usually breaking the lid off... silly

Dont whatever you do put those clear halfords ones in very hot water, they virtually melt!!! as i found out in my dishwasher.

Ah, that's no good then. My High-5 bottle is soft, and goes softer in the dishwasher, but it doesn't actually melt.

What? It even says dishwasher proof on the site and will take liquid up to 120c on the bottle. Take it back for refund then.

I have just bought some with a rubber top cap from my local cycle shop, it took him 2 weeks and 3 attempts to get them in, but he phoned me today to say they are in. so ask at your local cycle shop and they should be able to order some. I used the shop in fleet if it helps.
