At that price!? They may be Gigantex rims ( which incidentally build up to a very good wheelset ), but even they tend to start at about £650.00 for a basic build - so if they are then thats a heck of a bargain.
how do we identify them? is there a bit of the rim I could take a pic of to post?

Not easily as they dont mark them. If they are the glossy finish with a visible carbon weave then you can tell Gigantex by them having a slightly lowered brake track. I think that the uni-directional carbon Gigantex are a little more tricky to identify, IIRC they have hidden spoke nipples whereas some of the other generic rims have a more conventional set up.
Pic below is of mine, glossy finish with the lowered brake track.

More likely to be CarbonZone at that price, a full clincher wheelset is about £320 on ebay plus any import duty

I accidentally bought this earlier. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260864143965

Because, er, I needed another rear light for my bike.

And the rear light is free!

Oops.

Just as well. Rear light is rubbish. Dont use it anywhere near a road. (I have a few of them sat in the box marked "Do not use. Ever. Really, just dont"

A good rear light is either the new Lezayne or i prefer the Flare http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&amp... which is much better if you have people cycling behind you. (The exposre is blinding if seen straight on).

Oh well. Problem is I want to fit lights to my seatstays: they're about 20mmx12mm...

Ok, who's admitting to wheeling the bike into the kitchen when the mrs is out, taking a photo as quick as they can then putting it back in the garage again? I bet this is a common occurrence.

Ps wheels look good

Fakeleys for me today -

Now I need... a mini pump that actually works (not a co2 inflator, ideally has a guage) - presently have a crank bros one that is barely adequate as a get-you-home job

overshoes for winter.. numb toes riding in 2 degrees the other morning

maybe a new track pump - after 3 years my lidl one is making alarming popping noises.

and lastly, there is the possibility of some bib longs for winter.

Lezayne mini pumps are very good.

Picked this up last night.

Fits very well, collar is tight to the neck but not too tight, stretchy thermal back sections provide a good fit when hunched over, the zip seems of a good quality and has a nice wind stopper behind it. Sleeves are a good length with the cuffs not overly tight so as to not cut off circulation.

Has a velcro patch on the back for a lightstrip too which is good, only criticism at present would be no rubber gripper on the bottom of the back to stop it riding up, but it seems sufficient in length so will see how it goes in practice over the weekend.

LBS were tempting me with some speedplays last night too as I need some road shoes and pedals as I'm using my mtb gear at present.

Same. There is no way in hell I would leave my babies in the garage or the shed. The mrs has no problem with it either.

Having slowly been converting a Boardman Hybrid into a road bike, I've just got around to changing the tyres. I hadn't realised that I had 28mm beasts on there - they've now been replaced by some Continental Grand Prix 4 Season 23mm. Looking forward to trying them out - am I right in thinking that this should reduce rolling resistance, or have any other positive effect other than fewer punctures?
