The "what bike bits have you just bought" thread
Discussion
Just at the final stages of doing a deal on the exact same frame, same front wheel (but firecrest 808) and same groupset etc.
Which would leave me with just a disc wheel to buy, and I'd use my Quarq cranks!
Quite exciting times. Certainly not cheap, but the way I will have it when done it will be the best part of a £10k bike for considerably less.

Ok, who's admitting to wheeling the bike into the kitchen when the mrs is out, taking a photo as quick as they can then putting it back in the garage again? I bet this is a common occurrence.
Ps wheels look good
Me: Is the kitchen clean?Ps wheels look good
SWMBO: Why?
Me: 'Cos I want to bring my bike in.

Bought some new lights this week - Lezyne micro rear and macro front, and a funkier long sleeve jersey. The jersey is fantastic, the lights are too, but very much let down by the brackets - Had to double back on myself last night to retrieve the rear light!! Unless they change the brackets, I wouldn't recommend these lights!

One bike lives in the utility room, is that close enough?
Bought a pair of Lezyne Femto lights. Very cool little lights and they are very bright for their size. Certainly bright enough for dull days and indeed nights. I don't think the front light is bright enough to illuminate the road but they are more designed as a "be seen" light.
Most impressed!

I have a set of 38mm Carbon Clinchers from Farsports (easily the best reviewed wheelsets direct from China) waiting for me at next door's house (according to parcelforce).
Farsports have been super easily to deal with and keep you updated with the build etc and with quite a few hub/spoke/rim options, I went with 38mm rims in matt 3k with Sapim CX spokes, Sapim Nipples and Bitex hubs.

i'm planning on getting a pair of their 50mm clinchers... having read all the reports on the weight weenies site, they seem like the best option... i would be very interested to hear how much you got charged when they went through customs.Farsports have been super easily to deal with and keep you updated with the build etc and with quite a few hub/spoke/rim options, I went with 38mm rims in matt 3k with Sapim CX spokes, Sapim Nipples and Bitex hubs.
