Just ordered a pair of these http://www.wheelsmith.co.uk/race38-c23 ... 38mm carbon clinchers. Large enough profile for some aero benefit ... small enough profile that my Mrs won't notice them on the bike.
Been looking at those too - could you report back once you've ridden them please?JEA1K said:

What hubs do they come on?Unless I'm being blind I can't see it listed.

I certainly will do, they should be here within 2 weeks. I've actually bored myself reading about various wheels ... pro's cons, weight vs aero but have come to the conclusion that these will suit my riding well. Unfortunately I won't receive them in time for either sportives I'm doing (85 mile Sunday and 100 mile next weekend) which is a shame as they're both on local roads I train on.

I've gone for the Wheelsmith branded own hubs. They're probably something like Novotech ... will see how they wear though the summer and might swap for a better hub in the future. Unless I'm being blind I can't see it listed.

They arrived today and I am very impressed with them, they seem really nice. I'll report back after I use them.

A couple of spare rear mech hangers
I've notices as my bikes get older the obscure spare parts dry up and are almost impossible to buy, so rather than have a bike hanging in the garage broken I am starting to collect a few spare parts that may be difficult to obtain in a few years time

Try here:
Ordered a Hamax seat for my son, some Cinelli toe straps, DHB glasses and some tube patches from Wiggle. The order was processed on Wednesday and arrived yesterday, which is seriously impressive as I live in Switzerland! Unfortunately DHL destroyed the packaging and re-packed it, so the toe straps and patches are missing so it's time to see if their customer service is as good as their delivery...
Just about to click buy on a set of wheels from PH's favourite eBay shop. Anyone bought a set recently?

I had a wade through the search but couldn't find anything recent.

I think the verdict is still a little bit out there on CF clinchers, some of the best regarded are the Farsports ones though with the basalt braking surface.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/700C-50mm-25-width-light...

My mate has had a few Chinese clinchers in the LBS and has found some nasties, odd length spokes, as in they've fitted whatever they seem to have lying around and nipples without washers too which is a better way to build a wheel with no eyelets.

Wheel build is a concern but my friendly LBS have said they are happy to check them over for me. It's a shame it's so difficult to differentiate the different sellers. Some appear to have a pretty good reputation, especially in the US.
I was looking at Farsports but no one responded to my emails so I was reluctant to send them any money. I then received an auto response saying that their email server was down ...
They actually didn't seem that good value ... I'm pretty sure they worked out around $600 so with import duty it was over £400. I suppose the thing that put me off was having to return them if I had an issue so ended up ordering the Wheelsmith wheelset.
I suppose at just over £300 these are probably worth a punt.

All the details (20f/24r, Novatec, Sapim CX) look to me that they are Chinese clinchers just with their details on, yet you pay over £700 for them?
