just had a 5 min blast whilst building/adjusting and fine tuning, and your body temp goes right up. just dug a large fan out.

Did my first session in the garage last night thanks to the weather, did an hour spin at high cadence and felt like I lost about 5 liters!

I don't have any power in the garage so can't use a fan, unless the temperature is sub-zero I don't tend to wear a top, otherwise I overheat!

i'm planning on getting a pair of their 50mm clinchers... having read all the reports on the weight weenies site, they seem like the best option... i would be very interested to hear how much you got charged when they went through customs.
Didn't get charged anything while going through customs, total time from order to delivery was 14 days. I was even sent a picture after 6 days when the wheels where built!

£347 including delivery and paypal fees. Seem pretty good so far though haven't had a proper chance to test them properly, going to pop them into a wheelbuilder local to me for a tension check etc

Your more than welcome to give them a look over if your ever down Balham way before you order, they do 50mm and 60mm depths too.

Balham, you say?

I read the entire thread on ww discussing these a couple of weeks ago. I was tempted. I didn't jump because of (a) some of the brake track issues reported (I realise you can get issues like that with a carbon clincher, I just CBA with the sending them back to China), and (b) the weights. Some of those wheel sets are unfeasibly light for the rim depth. Either they are too good to be true, or the "big boys" know how to make the same wheels but prefer to drip feed the market with tiny improvements over a few ears...

As does your boredom level. And thirst.

And you'll still need a towel under you...

Turbos. Bloody hateful things.

Wiggle had them on offer a while back. You need to specify whether you want diameter you want though 27.2, 30.2, or 32DD size

I hope so, tried it on at their shop in London and loved it, perfect fit and one item I don't mind paying an additional Rapha 'tax' for.

Playing around with a few cheap bits to try and get the bike fitting better, got a Charge Spoon saddle and also a shorter Deda Zero 1 stem on the way.

The Charge Spoon as it comes well recommended and is kind of similar in shape to the Fizik Aliante I'm currently borrowing and for £22 for the cro-mo version it's worth trying.

The Deda stem as it is light for the money and is quite well recommended on bike radar, feel a shorter stem will help me be more comfortable on the bike as I'm constantly pushing back on the saddle which I think is down to overeaching to the bars. My knee cap is over the pedal axle so I think the saddle position is right, just the bike is too long from there to the bars, we'll see. Again only £20, so worth swapping around.
