I've got it all listed for nitro cars; Rob Turner ran 7.1 I think with a BIG (215mph if I remember right) speed, no idea about numbers from Darioux Walters though

Ian Hanson ran 7.52 at Hot Rod Drags 2005
got a feeling that John Menetrier ran low 8s in Altered Ego? think Tony Froome crashed it before it got any serious numbers on it from him though

also Dave Gibbons ran 7.7 when he was driving the Alien for Paul Marston if I remeber right

hopefully we'll join the list before long with the injected alky rat

John Menetrier ran 7's for certain. I reckon he got down to the 7.7's. He used to sell T shirts with, In the 7's for '97. It's cause he put gas on it i think and went Super Pro after winning the Pro ET title in 1995-6? That car was a worn out thing in the end though and the chassis snapped twice by the motorplate...i dunno if that is what caused Tony Froome to crash though.

I think thats all i know!

Dan

** EDIT **

Look what i found, maybe a 7.9 then!

Darrioux, as you say, never got fully to grips with the altered. I remember Altered Ego has a fully sprung rear end, unusual for what was to all intents and purposes a funny car chassis, and it was a swine to set up. The Alien was / is certainly a beast, I recall being very impressed with it when Bertrand ran it at Santa Pod a few years ago. 7.2's would certainly not surprise me.

I've heard Bertrand Dubet ran down into the low 7s with the Alien in France, although that was using nitrous and alky injection

Luke; yea the run from Ian Hanson is on the NFAA DVD, got a feeling it was 167mph
