You know, I'd love to see a Rotary powered RX-8 in Pro Mod.

Maybe one day technology will progress that far :-)

In Nhra sport compact series I think there is a rotary engined methanol burner. Some cars in this series run 6.40 at 220mph?

Also who remembers the RX7 at the Pod years back that was very LOUD. So loud infact I am sure Knut asked him to turn it off as he couldn't hear the FC warming up!

Dan.

Early Mark Watkins? ran in Trev Langfields 'Euro-Series' IIRC

Rotary engine seem to make a lot more noise than standard engines.

Anyone remember Eamonn Hurley's Rotary Fuel (I think) bike ? Called Concorde IIRC

DAMN ! that was silly loud.

Even though Tims Skyline did a very impressive 8.8 and the first jap car to do so in the UK, the race is still on for a UK built and developed car rather then an imported one to get into the 8's.

Cheers

Guy.

I was so close to a 8 this weekend at Shakespeare on street tyres

The times on the Sunday were 9.27 @154mph missed 3rd gear 9.09 @157mph,9.04 @156mph and a 9.02 @ 157mph.

The 9.02 @ 157.9 pass makes us the 6th fastest Skyline GTR in the World on street tyres, well happy with the result this weekend.

Keith, we were there with the dragster and the Nova (You lined up against the Nova on one of the 9.2's on Saturday)..

I've got to say, standing behind your car to watch a launch was f**king impressive... it sounds awesome on the launch limiter!

Rob (driving the Nova) thought one of the doors was falling off when you changed gear as you passed him!

Well done on the 9.0's
