The more cars the better jon but Top Fuel are the big boys in our sport. thats what we want.

Please don't think you are speaking for the general public.

Long time spectators would probably have a lot more respect for Spuff than you imagine. I think you should eat your words and issue an apology. I shake my head at your ignorance.

So wot u lot r all sayin is that Spuff has been doing really well all of these years cause in the last event he had a couple of good runs.

You lot must be the new comers.

Wot school u all e-mailing from?
Joking- dont start all the bitchin, we not a bunch of old lady's (no affence to old ladies)

For years now it has been bad watchin fuel FC.

Dont get me wrong I love watchin the FC's and I would love to see a 10 car field.
Watchin the racin from the states looks wicked but I fear that we will lose some good Top fuel teams who are often running into the 4's to start all over again learning how to tune the FC's.
I long for the day when we have big fields of Top fuel and FC.

And whoever wanted an apologie.......................... Im sorry

but I thought these forums were for airing our views?

There's a world of difference between airing views in a mature fashion and spouting a load of incoherent txt spk drivel though....

slagging John Spuffard off for one

also refering to us as newcomers, I've been involved with racing nearly as long as you've been alive, and I'm younger than you

jbarnet - please don't over-react, but people here seem to have a lot of respect for Spuffard and Jarrett, and I would agree with them. It isn't easy running a car like a Nitro Funny Car with very little track time and no competitive class in which to run. If they hadn't persisted all these years then Fuel FC in Europe might be a memory only, something to read about on the internet.

If more people want to have a go in AAFC I think that is great - it'll give the class a boost and we will start to see some real numbers on the track. We know Spuff can do it, we have seen evidence recently. Top Fuel numbers may go down as a result, or more people may move in to fill the spaces. Entry levels in the pro classes have always been very cyclical, they are very volatile due to the level of competition demanded and the available funds.

There is nothing wrong with voicing your opinion, but remember that there is a line between opinion and causing offence. Well written and balanced points with evidence to back them up will be taken a lot more seriously than something akin to schoolyard posturing.

Equally, if you are going to lay into people don't be suprised if people lay in to you. Your views are welcome here as far as I am concerned, but please learn to make a reasoned argument rather than stating an unfounded opinion and then sulking when people question your opinion. If you have thought it through, you will be able to stand up for yourself.

Ok so Spuff may have had a few issues with the new tune up, but lord alive, i have no doubt that they are trying their hardest to make it work - and it is! Have patience (and respect!) instead of sprouting nonsense. Tip: Research!

Oh and be careful: There are people on here who have been drag racing spectators before they were even out of nappies. Me being one of them... I might not know a lot of the technical side but i have a lot more respect for fellow drag racers having a good year or a bad year.

Noted in the "favourite racer" thread, but I'll say it here as well...

From checking the spelling and punctuation in both threads, I think we have more than one person posting using one user name. This thread has no capitalisation, fairly dismal grammar and txt spk, yet the other thread doesn't - "ur" and "Your" being the prime example. Something smells fishy...

Surly its up to the racers what they want to do, And fuel funnys are basically the same as top fuel dragsters, just a shoter wheelbase. I personally would like to see a fuel funny car field, there hasnt been 1 in years(i dont think, not like a fuel dragster field) and also if more people move to fuel funny car, it gives pilots in the dragsters a chance of a championship title!

Spuff and Bob clearly dont what they're doing.
Not a clue.

Thats why someone as big as Tom Hoover was nonchalantly hanging round there pit at the finals isnt it ?

jb, grow up, and move on.This forum is for people who have a genuine interest in the sport, not for tts like you to come here and just start slaggin people off.

If you cant make a reasoned arguement then dont bother.

Edited for spelling.

This reminds me of the old threads which treated a non record breaking performance as a letdown. Anyway, there's little point in continuing this since the author has already dug a rather large hole for himself with all his non thought-out, poorly researched 'statements'.

Tis nice to have another row 'E', seat 46 expert amongst the ranks though. For starters, it makes me look almost intelligent, from a distance, eyes squinting etc etc.

Now then, the thread could be locked so you know who cant spout out more insults and rubbish, or we can sit here and pay attention, as we get tought a lesson on how to go fuel racing across the grandstand....

Don't tar us all with the same brush John

Whilst I don't agree with the poorly conceived comments that started this thread, it doesn't necessarily follow that because we don't race, we know nothing.

Me? Spuff & Bob J are Gods and we are not worthy to criticise them

I see 'jbarnet' has now changed his name. Most suitable too. Did you think of 'most hated man' or did your friends help you think of it? Is quite funny though, I typed in your name into Google and all I could get was pictures of buckets full of sh*t!?
