Any photos please Chris? smile

I'm currently in the market for an fd2, there's not many for sale currently and I'm too impatient to have one imported.

Hi Mark

I've literally this weekend just posted my FD2 for sale if you would like any more info? It is on The classifieds at the moment. CW 66k miles, Black interior. Very few OEM+ mods. Its the one in South Yorkshire (WA08 UNK).

Cheers
Chris

FD2 any day of the week.

Especially seeing as its going to be a second car. If you were going to use it as a daily then I'd be edging towards the FK2 but I'd be sad about it haha.

I daily a CL7 (K20a, LSD, same running gear as a DC5 but in a 4 door saloon) and it works perfect for me. Have to slow down a bit on crappy roads but that doesn't really bother me.

FD2 is rare. Always sought after, as someone else has said its the last ever true Type R and who doesn't want a slice of that cake before its too late wink

FD2 also get's my vote, used to own a DC2 and it was simply outstanding. FD is holding fantasatic value and really rare sight on the roads, I'm sure the FK2 is a great care and mega to drive but while we can still get those great NA engines then that's the place to be as soon it will all be turbos!

clap exactly this.

A mate of mine has a CL7 to, it's a cracking bit of kit in it's own right and a rare sight in the UK but in this instance far too practical for the OP.

The FD2 is another evolutionary leap from the EP/DC era cars and the final NA K20 making it a sound bet in terms of future values but equally something you can use every weekend driving

I'm pretty sure havoc doesn't own a CL7, only an FD2.

I finally bought one last week, loving it so far smile

Ah nice, you have some good roads to take it on then!

I spent a weekend thrashing my CL7 around the Brecon Beacons a few months back. Great fun.

Do you know Lex and Ryan (both owned DC5's up until a couple of months ago) who are down your way?

OP did you get a car?

I am currently thinking about a fd2 or fk2. Everything I read says get the fd2 but I just fancy the fk2 for some reason.

I drove an FK2 last month and they are superb tbh, but an FD2 is still super mega awesomeness.

In the process of buying an fk8 which is a fantastic car. I decided the fd2 isn’t very road friendly it’s fantasic 2% of the time when your up it on a Welsh B road at 8500 rpm but for easy overtakes and fast road driving the K20C1 is a better engine. The FK2 is a great car it just isn’t a polished as the FK8. Buy an FD2 for JDM cool points or track car or specialness you’d need to spend 60k or more to get the same specialness maybe a Porsche GT car or M car. As I side note I did need to k20 in my life so I now have an EP3 track car so I get the k20 screamer out of my system. Hope that helps
