Thinking about getting a set of Eibach 30mm lowering springs and all of the associated camber adjusting components to have a ‘fast road set up’ done on my car.

My question is, will lowering the car cause the steering geometry to go completely out of whack? Will I need roll centre adjusters, adjustable steering arms and a rack raiser to lower the car without any issues? Or is it all a load of rubbish the aftermarket firms say to scare people into buying more stuff they don’t need, for a few hundred quid extra??

Sorry if this has been covered a million times, but I would just like a conclusive answer.

Any help appreciated smile

You'll not need any of that for a 30mm drop on some springs.

Camber bolts will be beneficial to gain some negative camber on the front and rear adjustable arms to get rid of some negative camber on the rear.

Shorter steering arms are only required when going for -2.5 to 3 degrees of camber on the front for correct toe adjustment.

Roll center adjusters won't be beneficial unless your front lower control arms are parallel with the ground or facing upwards as a rule of thumb, This won't happen with a 30mm drop.

My car is lowered about 30mm all round on coilovers, And several track outings and b'road blast has proven bump steer isn't an issue with the height of my car.

Car will drive great with a pro kit and a good geometry setup, Don't worry!

Thanks for the reply that really helps. The Eibach kit comes with camber bolts and rear arms so that’s all good

I'll be selling my Eibach ABP 30mm springs after Christmas. Fitted new at Grinspeed about 3k miles ago - I'm going coilover as the shocks I bought (brand new KYB) started knocking almost straight away - so don't buy KYB!

You'll ideally need rear camber arms (DME are the ones I have), front camber bolts (eibach) and have it setup. I also use tegiwa roll centre adjusters (basically extended ball joints) to get it closer to the original geometry settings and reduce bump steer. People alos use rack raisers but I haven't got one.
