Taken over the weekend with a friend with a VERY good eye for angles... And a lush camera!

He was sat in the boot of another friend's car to capture this footage, this is a still from it.

That photo could go straight in the brochure. Lovely. Rare colour too.

Just picked this up and love it.

Such underrated cars these. Very nice. I quite like the look of the new ones too although not had a proper poke around yet.

First one. UK Model Civic CRX 1.6iVT from 1994 to 2002:

Second one. EP3 Type R (never really got on with this, so 2002 to 2004):

Third one. 2002 S2000 from 2004 to 2016, this died on the Kemmel Straight at Spa having covered 144k miles and done about 50 track days:

Fourth and current one. 2009 S2000 from 2016 onwards. Suffered from the infamous 2008/9 engine problem but fortunately was still under extended warranty, so had a new engine fitted this month. Car has covered 23k miles so far, the engine less than 500:

Yes these really are little curios. Not at all quick but I bet they are fun on a sunny day. It could only be Japanese!

It does frustrate me how journos (and subsequently the market) seem to have a real blind spot for classic Japanese stuff. Even if they do acknowledge it, they still prefer a rattly old boxy-looking Alfa from the 80's that constantly breaks and has no performance at all. I don't get it.

Awesome buddy.

For a saloon its got a cracking chassis and of course the power train.
Factory LSD.

Good old days!
Enjoyed my 2. My DC2 is just a bit more focussed & agile I think- it’s a good 200kgs lighter mind you
Aye Aye, I have a uk spec DC2 had it for over a decade. Awesome pleasure driving it.
I can't argue with that although I do use the rear doors/seats occasionally so it is a compromise I am happy to make.

My first Honda was a 2nd gen Accord - a hand me down from my father when he replaced it with a 3rd gen. I then married into a Honda loving family - father-in-law had 3rd and 4th gen Accord and a 5th gen Prelude. It took me a while to buy my first one. I got this a couple of years ago as a weekend car. This is from a few weeks ago on a day trip to Weymouth to look at the cruise ships moored offshore and drive some nice Dorset roads. I love it.
Sounds like your father and father-in-law have impeccable taste. You can't go wrong with a tidy CTR. thumbup

My first Honda, absolutely thrilled with it. Love the looks, and the whole car as a package. In very much looking forward for lock down to end, and for summer to come around!

What a way to kick off Honda ownership! Congrats! What did the FK8 replace? How are you finding it so far?

My 'Teg is finally here! Not had chance to take decent photos of it yet (it's rained or snowed every day I've had it so far) hehe

Can't wait to use it properly when lockdown ends...

Have you just had it imported? The blue is such a great colour and I quite like the blue seats too. It shouldn't work, but it does on the Teggy. There is a championship white DC5 near me and I'm always amazed how up to date it looks considering the early ones are 20 years old now.

Thank you smile Really is a special car to drive, and really getting on with it well, I now understand what everyone says about Honda gearboxes as well! I find my self changing gear, even when I don't need to. I still can't get over how good it is around corners, I'm certainly looking forward to getting to know it more

Its replacing a 2009 Evora N/A, which was a bit of a disappointment sadly, I think it was just the particular one I had..
An Evora to any hot hatch certainly is an unusual path but the CTR really drives so much better than merely a hot hatch. Plus you have the added practicality benefits. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I was very close to buying one around this time last year - Red too (as it's the fastest colour) ;-) - but decided to tighten my belt slightly. A good choice as it turns out, I would have barely driven it! Once all this nonsense blows over, I will certainly be looking to scratch that itch once again.

Hi all,

Other marque forums have a picture a day or something similar and I'm surprised there isn't a Honda one given some of the great drivers' cars they have produced over the years, so I'll start the ball rolling...

20 Years old and still going strong!
Same as mine same colour! Mine is '02, so will be 20yo next year Love it more every drive!
Let's have some pics!

I have just treated mine to a new de-cat pipe and down pipe flexi from solid fabrications. I still have the standard manifold and back boxes but was worried it might be boomy or too antisocial. I am pleasantly surprised that it doesn't sound any louder than standard and it is definitely pulling a bit stronger. smile

Currently tucked away from the rain but will post some more pics when the weather improves.

A couple of cheeky snaps today. She's been brought back in to daily use as I'm 'between cars' at the moment but all the better for it. Absolute pleasure to drive.
