Not sure about that. I think there would be some comeback possible based on the description (actual quote about the underside "no issues to report") and very stong comments by the owner that there is no rust.
Finished at £18233! I think I might call my insurer if that's where values are at the moment...
If you look at BaT in the US, they are fetching serious money, that trend is potentially making it's way over here.. Gives me hope as my car is in much better condition and has less than half the mileage..if I was selling it of course.. which I am not..Finished at £18233! If that’s what’s happening I may have to ask to have an agreed valuation on my policy as mine is insured at market value at my own estimate of £12000. Mine is also in better condition, but 87k miles and 3 years newer. Given I bought it for £9000 just before the pandemic I thought I was being punchy at 12!https://bringatrailer.com/honda/s2000/

I still think that £18000 one from earlier is a crazier price for the condition of it. Crackers!Edited by F20CN16 on Saturday 8th May 19:47
I've been monitoring S2000 for the last 12 months and prices have rocketed!
Ive had my DC2 for 13 years and currently getting a few bits done wheels refurb etc to keep it mint as possible and occasional dry use.
I personally cant see myself playing close to £20k for one! £20k is what I'll need to get a near mint one.

I found it for sale on eBay and luckily got in first. They are selling very quickly and you almost need to be to see the advert as soon as it goes up and enquire.
I just need to work out what to do with the spare summer wheels/tyres, hardtop and S/S exhaust.
It is booked in with TGM for a full service, geo and underseal

Not sure if anyone has checked autotrader recently, however lots of S2000’s have hit the market. Some priced very high...

I was looking the other day and noticed over 1/3 of the cars for sale on AT are nurburgring blue! They just don’t seem to sell now. Amazing that anyone ordered one new really.G
A few on there keenly priced. The 2003 silver GT for £9999 could be a nice buy.

Nurburgring Blue was the colour Honda put on their launch brochure so I can see why people would have gone for it. A few on there keenly priced. The 2003 silver GT for £9999 could be a nice buy.
Mine is that colour also and the other colours I would choose if I had the option would be Imola orange or Indy yellow.
I do like my colour as I think it stands out and looks good in a car park amongst the usual black, Silver, grey colours, etc.

Mine is silver But I know what you mean as it is boring. Just reading back what I said earlier and don’t think I was all that clear. I meant that the unpopularity of the colour now makes me wonder how so many sold back then. Tastes change though. Maybe they’ll have a comeback some day.Mine is that colour also and the other colours I would choose if I had the option would be Imola orange or Indy yellow.

Ha....I don't mind silver either I think the unpopularity of the Nurburgring Blue stems from the S2k forums for some odd reason. Maybe some felt the colour wasn't "masculine" enough hence why they joke and refer to it as "ladyboy blue"?
If I took notice of that when I was researching to buy mine, I would never have bought in that colour. Some people though will go with popular opinion just for the sake of it hence why some might avoid it, I think. Would be interesting to see the stats on colours for all that were sold in the UK. I'm sure it exists somewhere.
Happens a lot on forums as we know where people want to know what is the "fastest" colour for a car they're looking to buy. By definition of Nurburgring alone, I can argue that mine is actually the fastest colour
I think Nurburgring looks quite good, especially with factory spoilers and spats. It looks better on the facelift cars IMHO for the same reason, although as a rule I prefer the cleaner simpler lines of the pre facelift.
Half the problem with the NB cars is that some also come with a blue interior. Now I used to have a Porsche with a blue interior so I haven’t personally got anything against that either, but it isn’t as popular on the market.
It just means as a huge overgeneralisation that NB appeals to fewer people, so take longer to sell for less.
To be honest though, given what I think I can tell from adverts, NB cars often appear to have been better cared for, less messed with and be in better condition.
