RE: Honda reveals NSX future concept
Discussion
Ugh - initially I thought it was bland. Then I started admiring parts of it, now I've returned to my initial conclusion that it's a vapid, unemotional Yank concept car.
Looking at the 1st photo of it in the Detroit motor show - it looks horrendously slab-sided (hopefully better in 'the flesh'), and extremely Corvette-like at the front - but in a bad way. It's over-contemporary, over-Americanised ('heavy' in appearance) and the Audi R8 is a lot more interesting in all departments - though I think that too is unemotional.

soon as I read front engined I didn't bother going any further.
Snob.
Couple of examples:-
- 365GTB/4 Daytona prettier and in some people's eyes better than 365GT/BB.
- Ferrari currently only use mid-engined layout for their 'entry' car.
- S2000 has better weight balance than Porsche Boxster.
It's a concept only. The official car won't resemble this much at all.
It was also arrived at thanks to Honda US who wanted a GT car, not another mid engined supercar. As the US was by far the biggest of all the NSX markets, they got their way. As for teh UK, if we'd bought more than 12 of them a year we might have a say in it...

Y'see, this is a decent-looking car, I think, and there's definite shades of the existing NSX in there. The new NSX concept is a silver hunk of blandeness, IMO, doubtless the product of the marketing department and doubtless will see production.

Second that.
That concept actually works like the new nsx.
The new one... Ugly, boring... Yuck!
What a shambles...as a present and proud owner of an NSX. This looks like its aimed at the fat american market. too remanistant of too many crap shapeless designs that come from the US. Obviously designed by an american. This car has absolutely no resemblance to my car in any way. Not mid-engined...what a disaster! It has the front profile of a corvette, the side profile of a dodgy R8/BMW6 Series. They've even stolen the lights from the front of the R8...and Chrome F*&king bling wheels. Keep the yanks away from it leave it to the Japanese. move back closer to the HSC and compete with the R8 in style and looks but with a V10 Honda engine, get the pricing around £60-70k
any feedback truly welcome

The original NSX was - and still is - a technological marvel - well ahead of its time. This concept is a step backwards IMHO. It looks like a child's impression of an Aston.
I doubt NSX owners will be worried about their cars becoming any less desirable should this brick see the light of day.
Not even fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as the ground-breaking NSX IMO
