I've just got a quote of £770 for me and the mrs on a 2004 S2k. Thought it would be more than that.
Oh almost forgot, thats with Elephant (me 25 and 5yrs NCB and her 22, living in South London). Good eh!

S2k insurance is bizarre, it would be cheaper to insure a 911 fully comp!

Just been quoted £500 for one as a second car, no NCB, no points, no crashes etc, 5k miles a year. Not as bad as I thought, that was through A Flux.

I had an 55 plate S2000 last year - 1 year NCB, £1700. This year a 05 plate 997 C2S - £3000. Who quoted you a 911 cheaper than an S2k - I think I'll have some of that....

Admiral are consistently cheaper for 911s etc than for most quick jap cars based on the quotes I have tried.

Evo 7 - 1500
S2K - 1110
996 911 Turbo/GT3 etc etc - ~900

I've just got an S2k....had to keep it with my current insurer so I dont lose 6 months NCB, but A plan gave me such a good quote it was almost worth losing the 6 months for.

hi mate, im 24 and have owned my s2k for a year and a half, i found the cheapest was elephant, you can also put your misses on there as a named driver and it brings it down quite consideribly. another way of saving those pennies is to put the insurance on a credit card with 0% finance. Then pay that off over the year. takes a bit of sorting out but saves those petrol tokens!! hope that helps fella

Ended up getting it for £699, protected NCB, all mods on a like for like basis (cage, carbon body kit, alloys etc).

Its the only drawback to owning this car I think. My exige s is £440 to insure for 10 months however the s2000 was £800 for me in the same postcode. When I owned a s2000 the insurance in nw3 was £1600 and my CSL was cheaper than this to insure in the same postcode.
