Looks like (according to Auto Express) Honda will be offering a new harder CTR at some point with 260BHP and a sequential 6-speed box bounce

Dread to think what the price will be though...

Hmmm....may have to cancel the CTR on order for Jun-07 delivery. That looks more like what I thought I was getting and hate being upstaged.

Plan B - visit to Halfords for a roof-mounted airscoop and some superglue and BYU!

Presumably cooler air from a higher pressure zone (compared to warmer air from a lower pressure zone) into the induction system via pipes through the screen pillars?

Seems a bit long winded to me. Why not just have a cold air feed through the front bumper?

Airflow creates a low pressure zone there = not a good place to source air for induction

I assumed it was cabin Ventilation as they'd removed the air con! hehe

Although the new Clio Cup cars have a vent on the roof for that reason!

Now I've seen the price, I don't think I would have ordered one instead after all...

Is that pirce offical or has someone plucked it out of their arse? confused

Does seem a bit much for a Civic, however that gearbox sounds quite trick and I suppose the engine must take some engineering at 130bhp/liter for an N/A engine.

doesn't sound right to me?! that can't be far off a BTCC-spec car (in theory it's possible as the engine copes with up to 300bhp without major mods) - in fact, i'm wondering if they are related, given the six-speed sequential box. me prefers a standard stick shift in any case.

just checking .. yep, we are past April 1st

It's a customer car built by JAS for teams going racing/rallying. It's not a road car per se.

Why would anyone buy one on these over an Impreza.

And don't say that an Impreza is ugly, its a Civic for f**cks sake.

I may not be getting one after all. Two months from placing the order and honda still can't get me a delivery date! I don't mind waiting for something special but this was just meant to be a daily hack with some fun factor. If they can't get me a confirmed date this week then I'm going to get a R32 or a WRX STi

Mine has been confirmed as the first week in June. It was ordered in the middle of March so I would imagine yours will be the same.
