So what is the score here then, apprently 2005-2006 honda owners are advised not to 'push the button' on the hand brake when raising it to engage, apprently this 'can' cause the handbrake not to engage properly and cars have been reported to roll away when hill parked.... I was always taught to park facing down hill with the wheels pointed into the kerb and left in first.... pretty much failsafe... Evidently some people where either never told or can't be bothered....

Anyone?

You have the wrong forum - it's a problem with Vauxhalls! laugh

(assume we're talking about Watchdog on about 30 minutes ago .. featuring someone's Vectra parked in a pond)

The other half received the letter from Honda just after xmas about this. Just waiting on a date for the car to go in and have the problem rectified.

Which 05/06 Honda models does this affect? Having a 55 Civic Type-S nmakes it relevent to me.
