......does the whole of the rear 'hatch' of an integra lift up (glass and all) to allow access to the boot? Or is it a saloon type affair?

It's a hatch on both DC-5 and DC-2.

I don;t know about the DC5, but the boot on the DC2 is pretty large, although a touch shallow.
