Sorry... not a post about performance or anything like that, but I'm just wondering which would be better as a casual car to drive around, taking into consideration about economy and stuff...

I was thinking that if I did get the Jazz I can change the Jazz sign at the back to Fit biggrin hehehe

One thing that really bugs me is that I'm Chinese and everytime I see a TypeR it's driven by a Chinese person! So that kind of makes me think am I following the sheep if I do buy one.

Any suggestions? :P

Hello mate, I own a type R (FD2) and am seriously considering a Jazz as a second car. Very practical, good economy and they drive very well. They have a decent level of kit (sport model) and cheap to insure and you'd have to be unlucky to have problems. I'd have a couple as courtesy cars, and have even done a 100 mile drive in one, didn't have any probs at all.

They do hold their value quite well so you might have to pay a bit more compared to another make (if you are looking at used), but equally you'll get that back when you come to sell it.

Both a little different, which Type R are you looking at ?

I have no comments on the Jazz, never drove one altho they can look kinda funky if done right !

My mum had a honda jazz 1.4 cvt and I have to say that they are excellent little cars. Very spacious and nippy about town. The cvt is a 7 speed so not exactly tiring to drive on the motorway. I've got an ep3 and in terms of fuel then I'm getting about 200 miles to tank load. Consumables are much more also i.e tyres, brakes TBH I drive the cars very differently so not fair to compare. Just a suggestion but what about something like a honda civic sport, dc5 or a jdm ep3?

I remeber the tuned Fits in an old Best Mototring video it looked like a riot to drive - though the cost of modifications must have been obscene
