Will be moving to Switzerland soon and I am planning to take my cars with me. Does anybody know the procedures to register the cars there?

Start here https://www.ch.ch/en/vehicles-and-traffic/cars-and...

There are rules relating to import according to federal customs regulations, and then registration for road use according to cantonal road traffic regulations.

Cars, as in plural?

One interesting feature of the Swiss regs. is that you can have one set of plates that you can switch between multiple cars and you can save a bit of money if that works for you.

Which Canton are you moving to? Each will have it’s own rules and the rate of ‘tax’ that you pay (for the plates, and indeed the ‘wealth’ tax based on their value) will be based on your Canton and indeed the Commune in which you reside.

Good luck! When it works, it works!

a) Not sure if you can import all cars free of import duties. I've heard there is only one car per person, better you check !
b) are you really going to drive RHD cars in LHD country ? You will not be able to sell them in Switzerland unless they are very special or maybe classic cars.
c) What's the year of 1st registration of your cars ? For "newer" cars (i.e. >2000) you need to have a CoC from the manufacturer otherwise you will not be able to register them. Cars before 1976 are easy to register, Those between 1976 and 2000 become harder with every year.

In the past I had 4 cars from the UK registered in Switzerland.
