To quote from the link:

* To qualify you must be a new BookaTrack.com customer who has never attended a BookaTrack.com track day or purchased goods from their website

So create a new BookaTrack ID and hope they don't notice.

* Venue and date will be allocated based on space availability by BookaTrack.com

Translation: "You'll be allocated to an event that didn't sell out." Which probably means it's in the middle of nowhere, and therefore nowhere near where you live.

(Cynical? Me?)

I've been meaning to get a sub anyway, so I've gone for this. We'll see what happens with the track day.

Could post up what happens please, trying to get the old man to take the plunge and get the Esprit on track and I am hoping that this will push him over the edge!!

Thanks

why be cynical? why not just ask the question? we're 100% confident that once you've been on a BaT day, you will come back. A bit like a drug dealer giving out the first hit of herion to a would-be addict.

We ran this offer last year, too. Some people got free places at Spa, Donington, Goodwood, Combe etc.

So, to confirm, we don't just hand out the undersubbed days that are a million miles away - we give you something that we think you will want to buy from us again - that's how we make the money in the long run. What's the point of giving you a free day at Knockhill if you're never going to book another day there?

Then I stand corrected.

Now, will you notice if I create a new BookaTrack ID...?

Jonny - what if I can only attend trackdays at the weekend? Do you offer places once that I must take or do I get a choice?

Thanks

Jonny.
I live in the South.
Is it likely that I will get something reasonably local if I subscribe to this offer?

Have to say, I took advantage of this last year and booked a day at Donington - so as a satisfied customer I would say your cynicism is not unexpected (I am the world's most cynical person) but definitely unfounded. I had a great day, the BaT team are among the most professional organisers I have used and the day went very well with plenty of track time and no mishaps.

Id forgotten all about this!
Need to get my ass in gear and sort something quick.
Where can I buy a helmet on the South Coast?
I do need to buy as I have 3 events planned in this year already where I need it.

They are running an event at Combe on 7 Sep 2004 which still has space so provided you sign up swiftly there shouldn't be any reason why not.
