Had a good day. Frightened Calum Lockie with 115mph sideways moment in the second part of Craners - Twice! He seemed amazed at quite how good the csl was.

Had a good dice with a GT3RS...was the only other road car there being driven near the limit! The csl rooolz though!

360CS - pah! slow!

Were u driving greyish number, reg 03 something ,obviously wearing cup sports, in group 2 ................if so think u may ave been giving Calum the lessons..............

trooper1212 I was in the Clio v6 actually.

First time on the full GP circuit and not particularly keen on it to be honest. I think National flows much better and the GP loop definitely is not the v6's cup of tea.

trooper1212 you will probably pleased to hear that the word "committed" was being used to describe your driving (obviously a compliment).

phatgixer have you had problems with the braking on the CSL or are you running with the standard kit? Assuming you are running the Cup tyres - are you impressed and are they as lethal in the wet as some would have us believe?

Well, considering it was my first time driving on a track and the first time throwing the Golf around to that extent, then "committed" is just kinder way of saying "foolhardy"

The smoke wasn't too bad was it? I had overheating problems which wasn't helping and the brakes were burnt out after the first lap which would account for a lot of the smell!

I was expecting the Golf to be a bit suprising in its pace, but I didn't expect it to be that quick down the straights...

I have ugraded the brakes to AP 6 pots front and 4 pot rear, braided hoses, GP5000pro disks, running road/racing fluid and Pagid RS19 Yellow pads. Now they last more than a morning, as the std OEM stuff was rubbish.

Cups are fine in the wet except where there is standing water. They are a bit scary then!
