... bump ...

can't believe there was so much interest in this at first, and now harldy anybody is coming forward .. .. you know it makes sense:

novice - friendly instructors
nothing hard to hit
wide open spaces to find plenty of room on track
sessions for women-only
drift displays and chance to try your hand
raffle
midlands location so easy to get to
proceeds to charity

if you're new to track days and want a gentle introduction then this is THE event for you, you wont get a friendlier, more helpful bunch of people to try your first time with
[mrs doyle] go on, go on go on go on go on. [/mrs doyle]

Have to say it's very rare to get a weekend track day especially at this price, and the added activities make it a very good deal indeed. I'll definitely be there.

Hi Ollie .. apparently using the full track this time too, so even more space to open the Smart up

actually if you want a play your car would be great in the off-track handling sections .. would be a hoot to see you the wee beastie through a series of cones flat out

Excellent! it should make for a bit more fun running then! especially with the new smart

I will certainly give the handling section a bit of a go, especially as i can now switch the esp off I really enjoyed running the chicanes flat out in september in the city coupe! 70-75mph wasnt bad going at all. hopefully this time the little car will go a tad quicker....

Its gonna be great to get back on track

Leave the M1 at junction 20. Take the A4304 east towards Market Harborough. After about 7 miles you get to North Kilsworth. Note the filling station here in case you need to fill up during the day. Turn left at the filling station onto the B5414. At the end of this road turn left onto the A5199. After a further three or four miles turn left at the sign for Bruntingthorpe. Follow this narrow twisty road for a couple of miles. From memory you will drive past the entrance to the Bruntingthorpe inductrial estate, ignore it. The entrance to the Bruntingthorpe proving ground is on your left where the road makes a sharp right turn. There's a big sign, you can't miss it. With any luck this link will take you to a map ...

Thanks Ivan and Ande for the cheques.

I have a few items to auction on the day including a weekend for 2 B&B at Down Hall Country House Hotel (worth £350), a £300 voucher for Marshall Landscaping Products, 2 tickets to a top Northampton Saints rugby game in the Travis Perkins box plus lots of other items. There will also be a raffle on the day.

I should be able to post the final details on here Wednesdayish.

I still have places available if anyone is interested.

Don't forget - all money raised (including your entrance fee) is going to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Thanks again and see you there

Cheque posted by special delivery (don't trust the normal post) so it should be with you by 9am tomorrow.

All we need now is for the weather to hold!

Whats the deal with the tyre fitter? There isn't much life left in my tyres and it would be very handy to get some new tyres fitted for the drive home. Obviously this would need to be booked in advance and it may already be too late to organise it.
