Pardon if this is an oft-asked question, but how can you find out if your car will pass the noise limit test, other of course, than booking a place and turning up in blissful ignorance to find that it fails on the day?
(TVR Chimaera 500, standard exhaust).

Yours should be fine for any 98db days (which are about the lowest limit).
I would guess it will be 95 to 97db on a standard exhaust.

www.bookatrack.com hire a noise meter out. £9 covers the hire and P&P both ways

If you think the car is marginal, you could try a SuperTrap clamp-on unit (assuming it will ft to your tailpipe/s), which I believe can be quite effective.

You can add or remove discs to squeeze you under the limit with the least increase in back pressure. Then it's easy to remove after the event.
