Rover 220 Tomcat. Engine can easily and reliably taken to over 350bhp and you can shed loads of weight. Gary Prebble beats everything round Castle Combe in his.

Also in the same series (this is a mad suggestion but could be fun) there is a Lancia Thema turbo with huge wheels on the front (looks odd!) It goes like stink too.

You go to Combe a lot then like me, Gary's Tomcat is great now that he's not understeering into the fields with all that power, i believe he's changed his diffs for a much stronger one as he was averaging 1 diff between 2 races at one point.

That Thema is lovely and been at combe for years as well !!

Watch out for a phat geezer in a white BMW E36 M3GT this year. Crispin Thomas, Mike Richardson and I are all running identical cars and we want some silver. See you there. Cheer us on!

Castle combe Season pass holder, used to race formula fords (1600) so i know a few faces down their, will come and say hi, hope to see you at the next Vmax 1st though !!

be nice to see a few M3's up the top end of the field, Dave normally starts off well and slips back as the race progress's.

Better watch out for Ilsa as well, she's done a lot in the "off" season

Might do, not sure it'll be worth it in the SLK though, too many bends at combe

Last year they had identical cars and he was still out of the top ten, she had a lot of mechanical stuff go wrong last year, she was obviously trying too hard, Brian finished every race, outside of the top ten though i think

Cant remember him ever being on top :fnarrfnarr:

Thanks but - Driver would need downgrading to get behind the blue propeller!

O/T
isn't it a white propellor against a blue sky?

further O/T
actually i don't go for that propellor story at all, the sky blue/white check thing is the bavarian crest colour scheme

i'll leave you now, sorry

Three years membership of track-club (www.track-sense.com)!!

All your costs covered.......and a load of different cars to choose from!

Failing that I'd pick up a 325i and strip it.

If I have another day like I had at Cadwell last summer when some mammary driving a Cossie thought he would like to know my Lotus much better then a Centurion Tank would get my vote.
