In my experience it's easy to spot the idiots, so spot ‘em early, steer clear of ‘em, drive within your limits & have a great day out.

No one is forced to do a track day, anyone really concerned with laying blame or extracting compensation should stay at home & take up knitting… ah, but then you could stab yourself with the needle, damn, best just stay in bed then.

Sound advice.

FWIW I completely agree with you guys. If you don't want to run the risk, don't do it. Going on track is entirely your own decision.

Some days just look like they will have several 'incidents' looking at particiapnt lists, but everyone has the choice to stay away....

Digressing very slightly. I was at a Brands trackday a few years ago, I got chatting to a 360 Modena owner (the car had only just come out) about how he preferred his 355 on track etc etc. He went out on his final session and really gave it some beans through Dingle Dell, lost it and hit the barrier head on at circa 70mph. The car was obviously a mess, chatting to him again after he revealed that this was the first trackday he had ever taken out insurance cover.

I wonder if he would have been more cautious if he *hadn't* had insurance then?
