Thanks for all the advice on this, Combe was great and the car didn't miss a beat for the most part. Had a few people come up and comment on how quick we looked so it can't have been that bad!

My mate was getting some wheel shaking under heavy braking last run, I assumed warped disks but seemed to dissipate after a few laps?

What pads did you use (exact compound not just brand). The judder under braking sounds more like pad transfer onto the discs not that uncommon with road oritentated pads when tracked.

They were Ferrodo 2500 if I am not wrong! Think they are track orientated pads?

Funny you should mention shudder with DS2500s. I had the same on my first (and, to date, only) trackday in the Rallye which uses the same pads as the 1*2 clios. No issue in the 2000 road miles since. In fact the trackday really brought the lads back to life.

Also, like you, i took a spare set of pads. Sent them straight back to the seller unused afterwards. Pads wore fine; discs took a bit of a battering though.

They're more track focused than a normal OE pad but more of a fast road type than a track/race compound. Still have an element of rubber within the matrix which is probably what melted and transfered onto to discs. Normal road usage will clean them up or if on track you can just plough through the phase.

If your going to track it more regularly then CL, PF or Pagid RS pads may prove more suitable at the expense of less road suitability and greater cost.
