Afternoon lads

I'm looking at purchasing some road/track tyres for my 32 and just wondered where you buy yours from, just in case I'm missing an obvious vendor out

Cheers

I bought my last set from a chap called Ben Patey who is very active on the TrackTime Facebook group, lots use him and he is very cheap. Very good for Yokohama AD08R's in particular, but does do others.

The most obvious general online suppliers are Camskill/tyre leader.

Worth checking Demon Tweeks too - usually they're not all that competitive but occasionally they have a sale and can be very cheap then

If you are buying Yokohama's the cheapest place in the country is George Polley motorsport, they supply a lot of the race series in the UK eg 750 motorclub.

I've been using them for 15 yrs still never found anyone cheaper for Yohokama's in the uk:
Usually in stock with next day delivery.

in last few years -
Road
80% tyreleader - 20% JJC/DT via ebay
Track tyres
50% tyreleader - 50% ebay used.

Looks like their website is down at the moment, but I recently got a set of R888Rs from http://www.adamsandpage.co.uk for a very good price.

They have an eBay store but their listings and prices seem to vary wildly - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/adamsandpage I contacted them and they did a better deal than their listings.

My Toyos, including fitting, were half the price of Demon Tweeks!

I'll second that. I went and bought a set off him this week, based in Bracknell had a good chat and he has a lovely Focus RS on the drive.
He also delivers, was best price I'd seen by a mile

I get mine from the local tyre dealer. In this case it is BT Tyre in Rugby. By the time I have faffed about with finding the cheapest place, then paying someone who can fit them right and balance them without shaking the car to bits he's actually pretty reasonable.

Otherwise, Black Circles. I know of tyre shops who are cheaper if I source them but they
-cannot balance a tyre to save their lives (I found this out by going to one lately and a guy I know as well!
-normally damage the rim -my M3 has a nicely partially milled rim due to a previous owner.

I realised this when I went with some mates to the ring. I could keep a constant 80mph as could the guy in the 220 Trophy. The bloke with the 172 on cheaply fitted tyres? No chance. It vibrated like mental at 75! As a result he either did 100 or 60! It was bloody annoying to not see him. keep a constant speed due to the vibration.
