Trying to figure out how many of them would be black flagged at a track day today.

The black XR3i and silver Orion were hilarious. Real brain removed antics.
Looks like the track day rules at the time were that there were no rules and do what you like.

lol it does look like the rules were gentlemanly.

The Bentley and the Cavalier with the exhaust or something below the car hanging off made me chuckle.

Good find OP!

Thats what you get when you let a bunch of Scottish NEDS lose on track. Bizarre thing was there was some nice cars in there mixed in with Arnold Clarks MOT failure specials!

That actually is very representative of my very first track day in the early 90's.

Not many domestic video cameras were about back then though, so its interesting to see one.

I spot my white XR2 and my mates red uno turbo in there! That is certainly a blast from the past, some of the current day track days aren't far off that though to be fair.

That was brilliant.

Being someone who has only recently started doing trackdays its crazy to see what you used to be able to get away with!

My god that's hilarious! Or shocking, I can't decide which!

Standards are absolutely appalling. And I can't believe the heaps of ste some people are driving.

Things have definitely improved since, I'm glad to say.

I remember doing a track day at Silverstone in Circa 86, mass pile up at club corner mostly involving R5 GT Turbos all trying to out brake each other with the result that they all piled into the catch fencing that used to be in front of the barriers on the outside of the circuit, not one made the corner.
