Wooo, 1 week to go till DN19!! Cant' wait.
Nice to meet you mate. In case you missed it, I was on BTG Facebook page yesterday and your Exige featured twice in the gallery Top Gear DN19 report. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/gallery...
(Never knew they were there.)

Was there quite a stringent noise limit? I notice quite a few extra silencers added to cars on that photo album?
Not really, but I saw that too. Also, if you watch the videos of anyone lucky enough to have been driven around by Kevin Estre in the 991.2 GT3 RS on the Manthey track day, on the previous day, he's having to short-shift for noise reasons.Digga said:
Look out for ^that white GT3 and a grey Audi R8 GT.
Good to see you againSadly my day ended when the track closed at 11am, because my car threw a belt
I had to drive to Limberg to get a replacement, and then fit it when I got back
Ironically when I got to work to fit the new belt, I found that the old one was intact and the belt debris was from the AC belt
So I wasted four hours locating and buying a replacement
I would have been back on track by 1pm, instead I got the car back together in time to return my transponder
Nevertheless I really enjoyed the first few hours

Is this during the day ?
Will you be doing any tf laps in the afternoon ?
From what I can make out the circuit is closed for the day for us on the event, the opening at 5pm to the public. Will you be doing any tf laps in the afternoon ?

Hi Ben ,
Thanks for the quick response . Can I ask why you have highlighted these particular dates . Are these the best days to get quality track time at the Nurburgring?
It would be great if we could meet up and I would certainly appreciate a " sedate " trip around in the Lotus . I say sedate because at full race pace I would be concentrating too hard on keeping my lunch down rather than the best lines .
I plan to hire a " taxi " with an instructor for a few(?) laps . Any views on the best operators .
Cheers , Rob .

CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE ON FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT THE RING IF YOU GOT A MOMENT ?
CAN I TAKE MY OWN UK CAR TO THE RING ?
CAN IT BE A UK RENTAL ? OR ITS MORE ECONOMICAL TO RENT THERE?
DO I NEED TO PRODUCE THE CAR DOCUMENTS AND INSURANCE IN ORDER TO GO ON THE RING?
WHATS BEST FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE TRACK DAYS OR PUBLIC ? FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE RING ..

One of the best websites that will answer most if not all of your questions is "Ben Lovejoy Nurburgring"I'm not giving you the URL as that probably contravenes PH rules, just use your favourite search engine

Anyone going across during the August bank holiday weekend? An acquaintance is off, he’s a regular with a season pass and I’m tempted to tag along.
I went in Easter last year for the first time along with some mates. My old Evo X was a tad overpowered for the track but I still enjoyed it (didn’t enjoy the bill after my headgasket went though). In a Lexus ISF now which is heavier and RWD but should still be fun.

Upto date calendar is on Bridgetogantry.com I'm going this comign Sunday to Weds (2nd to 5th). Sunday it's open all day then evenings after that. Hoping to visit the Porsche museum in Stuttgart too. Anyone else going to be there? Happy to take passengers for a lap or two!
