Lyneham trackdays stopped?

Now call me a cynic, but maybe, just maybe, part of the reason the base commander/local MP wanted to stop the track days is because MOD Lyneham is now the Phase 2 training establishment for REME and they have a duty of care for the "students". I mean, I could be wrong, but I imagine it is the likely scenario.

Wondered if anyone had heard anything on this. I got a short reply from the MP's admin requesting an address within his constituency, which, reading between the lines, means if I don't live nearby, my opinion doesn't warrant any more attention.
As expected, I didn't even get a reply to my response - which was along the lines of "hopefully the MP will be inclined to reply to the concerns of someone who can potentially bring revenue to his constituency...".
