which is why I upgraded to ds3000 and then, when I realised they were too harsh and noisy I changed to DSUno. These have been rather excellent pads.
Pick what suits you though, everyone has an opinion and you can get an idea through other peoples experiences...

DS Uno are decent pads, I have used them before.

I prefer RS29/DS1.11 but both are a bit squealier on the road in gentle braking.

For honda S2000
DS2500 £84
CL5+ £155

DS2500 are a very good value for money pad for road and some track day use but if you overheat them the wear rate goes through the roof.
If you pay more you will get a better pad. Ideal situation is to swap to proper track/ race pad for trackdays to avoid cold stopping, noise and dust issues everyday.

I have a 1200kg E30 M3 with 280hp, AP Racing 4pots and 315mm discs.

Another vote for CL Brakes RC5+ here. Compared to the DS3000s I ran previously, they work better from cold, squeal less (virtually never) and produce less dust. Stopping power is equal to the DS3000s, the pedal is firmer and during 30min sessions on both Oulton Park and Croft, I experienced no degradation in performance.
Just fitted the RC5+ to my E30 - 315 mm floating discs with standard E36 M3 calipers.

Not driven with them on track yet so yet to report performance under duress. But on the road, they immediately felt infinitely better than the OEM Pagid pads. Pedal was rock solid. Great bite. Loads of feel. A little bit of squeal under light braking, but nothing too onerous. Looking forward to subjecting them to proper use.

Does anyone here have any experience with WINMAX RACE BRAKE PADS W6.5 or W7 pads, I cannot seem to get many track-day pads for the 2014 Fiesta ST, and WINMAX seem to have allot of compound choice to pick from. I really would love some RC5+ form CL which I had on the GTI, but they only support the Fiesta MK6. At the moment I'm running DC2500 which where really good at Brands Hatch GP track a couple of weeks ago.

Project Mu Clubracer and PFC 08/11 Compound are what I'll be sticking to from now on! Great feel and stopping power, awesome fade resistance. PMU's aren't too "squealy" on the road, but the brake dust is dire! laugh
Where did you buy the Project Mu Clubracers from? I got a quote of more than £500 for my brake setup which is a wms front caliper and oem mr2 rear and that was before shipping from japan. Winmax are another brand that I found that potentially would make the correct pads I need, but there just doesn't seem to be much info about on these.

I ended up buying another set of XP8's which came to around £300 for the full set. Mainly because they held up well and they are pretty easy to deal with over the phone.

I just wish that the carbotechs dust wasn't so hard to get rid of.

An American friend who does trackdays over there recomended http://www.g-locbrakes.com/ apparently a few people who worked at carbotech started their own company up and the pads are meant to be pretty good. But again there isn't a UK supplier and it seems silly having to get stuff like pads shipped over.

What you have there, is a business opportunity...

Now I use CL RC5+ which last at least 3 TD's, but they are quite pricey. However, different league compared to the EBC's. I'm going to try RC6's next to see if they last even longer, as I only use plain cheap Delphi discs anyway which would be the much cheaper component to replace. I'd highly recommend CL's if you can deal with the noise. It's quite bad at times but doesn't bother you so much if it's a second car.
Agreed, moving from EBC Blue NDX to CL 5+/6 was a marked improvement so much so we gained 4 seconds per lap on average, all else being almost equal.

Our experience with EBC is that they overheated without cooling and broke into pieces, with proper cooling into the disk they held together but still chipped of at the edges, on average they lasted 2 days or circa 550~600 track miles.

Our experience with CL was much improved bite and pedal feel allowing much more confident amd later braking, all same setup and same track (Bedford GT). The setup is CL6 front axle and CL5+ rear axle. On the negative side though, the CL6 on the front axle do not appear to be lasting longer than the EBC, well a bit longer but only by 100~150 track miles. All that has happened is we are going quicker now with the same weat rate.

Worth pointing out however that between EBC and CL we have also increased disk diameter by 10mm (e46 328 front disk vs OEM e36 328) in an attempt to add a bit of heat soak capacity and hopefully pad endurance.

So in my experience at least the CL6 isnt lasting longer despite the 70quid price bump.

Considering the XP10 now, but by the sounds of it we will eventually pay for an accept the Rs29 product as the solution on the front axle.

Imo what is happening in most cases is that pars are being overheated, hence the massively imcreased wear rate, particularly if they havent been sintered/scrubbed and allowed to cool down before heavy use, hence half day endurance. Im of the opinion that increasing heat soak capacity and thus reducing pad/caliper temps is a solution, but at the expense of added unsprung weight, unless budget isnt an issue then buy the best pads available, 2 piece disks, etc. Personally I would rather wear disks out and replace at 80 quid per axle (OEM disks are cheap 😁) every year than buy 250quid pads for the front axle three times a year. If budget wasnt an issue, I would have a very different stance though lol

So 2 full days at Castle Combe and 10no 9minute laps of Nurburgring along with 2k road miles and my DS2500s are still absolutely fine and less than half worn. Donington RS National day next.
