How was the DN event? I missed out in the end but am now booked on the 2 day event in September.
I imagine the weather will largely be the thing people remember from this one! Started out a bit foggy, but dry and fast. Soon started to get a few spots of rain on the windscreen though and by lunchtime it was fully wet. Spent the afternoon gradually building some wet pace in the Megane - was unsurprisingly very quiet on track all afternoon!Well organised as usual - less race cars this time out and also seemed like less of the really fast GT3RS crew - maybe they're holding off for better weather in September .

I was doing my best in one of the final laps, when it was absolutely pouring down, to keep you in my sights Well organised as usual - less race cars this time out and also seemed like less of the really fast GT3RS crew - maybe they're holding off for better weather in September .
I thought it was fantastic to drive in the wet - really gives you a feeling of the right line (since the N24 cars left so much rubber on the racing line, that it was like ice), and like you mentioned that we pretty much had the track to ourselves - unreal!

Hah, me and my passenger were both commenting on the fact that you were still visible in our mirrors for ages once we'd gone past - you were really hustling that Panda around! The Panda passed me coming down toward YouTube when we had that torrential downpour. I'm thinking of making one list trip to the 'Ring on the 30th May as it's a bank holiday in Brussels.
The forecast for now says rain and 14c, but there will be cars still on track I hope? It's still 3 hours away from me so don't want to waste a journey.
If I go, I might even take the S90 around for a single slow lap.

Question for you guys:
If you buy your laps on a weekday, when they're cheaper, can you still use them at the weekend? I haven't been since they were just getting started with the Ringcard so not entirely sure what the system is now...
Just think of it as a prepaid card. If you drive in the week it's price A. Weekend price B. Makes no difference when you top it up.If you buy your laps on a weekday, when they're cheaper, can you still use them at the weekend? DN21 was brilliant. I loved the wet laps in my little swift so much so i did TF and had it to myself nearly lol
Had some very strange looks as its a UK reg on a rent4ring swift which I bought a few years back
Probably thought you were a fan! Had some very strange looks as its a UK reg on a rent4ring swift which I bought a few years back
Wet laps are highly underrated. I once did a few wet laps in my previous Impreza and it was fantastic. Couple of guys in front in BMWs sliding through the corners, clearly very good drivers, and then my ex drove and got a completely empty lap. A rare and beautiful thing! The empty lap, not my ex
Just back from DN21.
Brilliant trip combining watching the Nurburgring 24 practice and then a day on track in dry and wet weather.
I was last there in 2015 and sadly my memory struggles to recall all the corners and lines and as a result was regularly overtaken by well piloted Swift's, Megane's and some super GT3 RS's.
Really well organised, very sociable and with so few cars on track it often feels like you have the track to yourself.
If you have a trip to the ring on your bucket list go and book one of the two events left this year. Whether you choose to hire a car or take your own a closed circuit is the way to go.
